Job Summary and Description
Assists the Districts Deputy Chief of Police - Patrol Division by performing supervisory and administrative law enforcement work in the Patrol Division of the Police Department. Reports to the Deputy Chief of Police - Patrol Division.
Reports to the District Department of Public Safety.

Job Functions include the following:
- Plan and monitor on-site assessments and maintain records relating to accreditation.
- Reports on accreditation and represents department at meetings regarding accreditation.
- Coordinating training and maintenance of training files.
- Writes/reviews policies to ensure compliance with standards and compliance with applicable laws.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
- Four years of experience in law enforcement to include two years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five years of experience in law enforcement.
- Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT).
Licenses and Certifications:
- Must have an advanced certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver license. Must be insurable through the organizations insurers.
Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen.
