Integriward LLC Controller in San Antonio, Texas

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:The Controller is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records and systems, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as federal and other regulatory and advisory organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
  • Manage and optimize accounting systems and processes, including Unanet.
  • Coordinate outside audits with outside independent auditors and regulatory agencies (DCAA) and oversee preparation of required items.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and risks, and recommend actions to mitigate risks and improve financial health.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the CEO and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
  • Oversee the continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of accounting personnel on financial issues impacting department budgets.
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
  • Act as an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
  • Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group.
  • Monitor and analyze all accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end, and payroll processes and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree required or 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in government contracting and cost accounting standards.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience using the Unanet system software.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a small team of finance personnel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with personnel and organizations to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment.
