Our client, Global Technology Leader is seeking a CE Facilities Support Engineer - Electrical III to join their team.

Job Title: CE Facilities Support Engineer - Electrical III

Location: San Antonio, TX - Onsite

Contract Length : 6-18 Months

*Schedule: Day Shift, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm CST

Overview:

As a CE Facility Support Engineer – Electrical III, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the electrical infrastructures across a Microsoft datacenter campus, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems. In this role, you will support electrical infrastructures throughout the datacenter campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller ones

Key Responsibilities include:

• Perform Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of one source while ensuring critical load is still supplied.

• Carry out PDU shutdowns for power meter replacements and assist with Power Interruption Testing (PIT).

• Manage shutdowns or replacements of master controllers.

• Monitor and maintain building management systems (EPMS) across facilities.

• Adhere to the National Electrical Code and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

• Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of 1 source. Critical Load is still supplied through one source (“N”).

• PDU shutdown for power meter replacement.

• Power Interruption Testing (PIT).

• Master controller shutdown or replacement.

What’s Needed?

• Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code

• 5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data center).

• OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification is required.

• Experience with electrical systems in high-availability environments such as datacenters, oil/gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or related fields.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varying work weeks.

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Preferred experience

• Electrical Engineer - Concentrates on electrical systems, including power supplies, control panels, battery systems, and preventive maintenance for electrical equipment like UPS systems.

• Involves tasks like energizing electrical cabinets and troubleshooting electrical components.

• Experience in Data Center or other Critical Environments

• Qualified Electrical Worker preferred.
