As an *Associate Accounting Coordinator *you will under direct supervision, be responsible for timely and accurate processing and reporting of refined product purchase and sale transactions for Mexico operations and terminals. Also will be responsible for monitoring customer accounts receivable and vendor accounts payable for accuracy and timely processing and clearing of transactions.

• Processes basic rack purchase and sales transactions to completion in SAP, including obtaining appropriate documentation and correcting errors.
• Ensures that all Company invoices for Mexico transactions are issued and processed in compliance with Mexico tax regulations.
• Reviews and reconciles vendor invoices for accuracy and validity to ensure prompt payment.
• Coordinates and communicates with other departments as needed to resolve customer and vendor issues.
• Performs monthly account reviews for basic customer and vendor accounts to ensure appropriateness of open items.
• Prepares journal entries as needed, including month-end journal entries.
• Responds to external and internal customer inquiries in a timely manner with a high-level of customer service.
• Assists in preparing reports and schedules for management, customers, vendors and auditors as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (written and spoken).
• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher level degree - in Accounting
• 1 year of Accounting experience

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
