We are looking for a skilled operator that will be assigned to construction crews to utilize digger derricks as well as other heavy equipment as needed. The ideal candidate will be local to the area and hold a valid CDL Class A license . The work location for this position is inSan Angelo, TX.
CDL REQUIRED
What You'll Do
Operate digger derricks, backhoes, mini-excavators and other heavy equipment as needed
Interpret loading charts and rigging requirements for lifting of distribution equipment
Perform flagman duties as needed
Load and unload equipment and materials
Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections
Perform regular maintenance/cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment
Other duties as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the electrical services industry required
Completion of an accredited apprentice program is preferred
CDL class A license is required
Skill to operate equipment in close proximity to workers and electrical utilities
Desire to learn and commitment to working safely
Must be local to the San Angelo area.

Work Environment
Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Legal Stuff
Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required
Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
