TRIHYDRO CORPORATION Waste Management Technician in SALT LAKE CTY, Utah

*Waste Management Technician -- Salt Lake City, UT *

Trihydro is hiring a Waste Management Field Technician.  

Based in the Salt Lake City area, you will join our Petroleum and Petrochemical Team and will assist with on-site waste management support, conducting weekly waste inspections for satellite and central accumulation areas, scheduling waste shipments for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, daily walks throughout the refinery to identify waste storage areas, implementing a container management program, coordinating wash pad operations and track usage, sampling drums and waste containers when filled, management of the satellite accumulation areas and work with labs for analysis, tracking lab data and preparing initial waste determination based on results, tracking waste generation dates and shipment timelines, verifying manifests are signed and returned within regulatory guidelines, submitting exception reports as needed, and generating draft waste shipment profiles for client signature.

*Position Responsibilities *

  • This position consists primarily of field-based work and requires walking and standing for extended periods, as well as an ability to work comfortably at heights. 

  • Due to the outdoor nature of the role, work occurs in all weather conditions. 

  • This role involves approximately 40 hours per week. 

*Qualifications *

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a clean driving record and current driver's license. 

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. 

  • Acceptable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices. 

  • Acceptable written and oral communication skills with a strong desire to build successful relationships with clients and project team members. 

  • Strong communication and organizational skills. 

  • Proficiency with word and excel. 

  • Technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • A basic mechanical aptitude and an independent work ethic.
