The Utah Museum of Fine Arts is located on the campus of the University of Utah, and offers visitors the opportunity to explore over 5,000 years of human creativity with a collection of over 20,000 objects and art works from classic Greek and Roman antiquities to cutting-edge, contemporary art. Founded in 1914, the UMFA is the State of Utahs official museum, creating exhibitions and programs which serve a wide array of audiences. The Museum is located in the award-winning Marcia and John Price Museum Building.A position as a Museum Visitor Services Representative is a great opportunity for those looking to further their experience in customer service, communications, and community outreach as well as for those looking to become more familiar and involved with the museum world in general. Our Visitors Service Representatives are responsible for delivering excellent customer service while welcoming guests to the Museum, maintaining knowledge of exhibitions, events, Museum departments, processing transactions accurately, guiding visitors in the right direction as questions arise, and properly facilitating our public programs.Assistance in event set-up and take down.This position is less than 20 hours per week and may require weekends and some evenings.
