This position performs the install of software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and helps identify and troubleshoot software and performance related problems. Performs and helps define routine system backups and recovery tasks. Maintains and monitors systems, including configurations and alerts to ensure data integrity, continuity and availability. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Responsibilities
Supports Microsoft Windows Server or UNIX environment.
Analyzes system logs or events and identify potential issues with servers.
Develops, documents and performs tasks needed to integrate new technologies into existing data center environments.
Completes audits and reviews of systems and software and network infrastructure.
Completes data backups and migrations as needed.
Applies operating system updates, patches, and configuration in coordination with senior Team members.
Assists in the development of scripts to install and configure new hardware and software.
Adds, removes, or updates user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
Investigates technical queries and resolves user issues.
Documents the configuration of systems and processes in collaboration with senior Team members.
Triages and remediates reported problems.
Collaborates with senior team members on system performance tuning and testing.
Contributes to the development of protocols to validate that the system infrastructure is up and running.
Understands, follows, and implements appropriate change management controls.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies.
Detail oriented, process focused, ability to learn in a fast paced environment and communicate effectively.
Knowledge of and adherence to change control processes in a large production environment.
Document and perform the deployment of highly available technologies leveraging replication, load balancing, and geographic clustering.
Perform the install and configuration of server hardware including operating system in collaboration with senior Team members.
Participate in standard monitoring requirements and scripting or applying additional setting requirements in collaboration with senior Team members.
Ability to triage and perform troubleshooting hardware and system level problems.
Participate in the architecture and design of systems configurations from system architects.
Follow established implementation standards and guidelines in collaboration with senior team members.
Performs the documentation of implementation and installation guidelines in collaboration with senior Team members.
Ability to understand and adhere to security policies and procedures.
Understanding of RTLS/RFID technology
Self-motivated doesn’t need constant supervision
Database background is helpful
Report writing experience
Network knowledge (Wireless preferred, Cisco knowledge helpful, cabling)
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly Organized
Ability to analyze large amounts of data
Must be able to troubleshoot challenging technical problems
Must be able to learn new technology and find creative solutions to problems
-Work above ceiling level
-Spend long periods of time working in hospital and clinic floors
-Follow Hospital Facilities and Engineering guidelines
-Use of ladders and various tools
Qualifications
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
Qualifications (Preferred)

- Experience in systems administration.
