Job Role: Sr. Software Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Order Management System team in an on-call operations focused role. In this role, you will learn about the end to end e-commerce pipeline, including ordering, subscription management, billing, provisioning, and payments.

Responsibilities: * Build, ship, and release code to keep our systems up to date with Client's technical stack and standards for quality software engineering. * Collaborate with partner teams and stakeholders to investigate and resolve customer facing issues. * Maintain understanding of latest technologies and tools and leverage them to improve existing products and services. * Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services * Assist in the onboarding and ramp-up of new engineers

Basic Qualifications: * BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field * 6+ years of software engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record of developing large-scale highly available services and systems in either Java or Python.
• Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC)
• Working experience of build systems, databases, and Linux-based infrastructures
• Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
• Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies
• Experience developing mobile applications a bonus
