University of Utah Sr Accountant in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
The position will be part of the DFPM Finance team within DFPM Central Administration that provides support and services across the department.Primary tasks for this position will be ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual accounting processes are done accurately and on time. They may be involved with completing these directly, or working with staff and faculty throughout the department on their completion. They will also be heavily involved in reviewing and improving current processes.The position provides strategic financial analysis to department management; coordinates program and operations research and analysis; and provides successful planning, administration and execution of a various programs. The position will also be involved with the maintenance of various operational dashboards. This position will be expected to independently identify projects that would add value to department missions, operations, and programs. Projects may include planning, policy development, work methods and procedures, time utilization, organizational structure, distribution of assignments and information management.Candidates for this position should have excellent team work skills, as well as a commitment to customer service.
