The hourly salary range for this role is $39.59 to $46.15. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Salt Lake City, UT Henkel manufacturing facility is looking for top talent to lead our facility to Best in Class performance levels and culture. We have a clear three-to-five-year journey laid out to build capability and deliver results using the processes of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Six Sigma (LSS). The Specialized Maintenance Technician is responsible to drive successful performance for an assigned area within the plant. This person will also be responsible for developing and implementing standards within the area to gain efficiency improvements and production continuity. The individual selected for this role will be assigned to Shift 24 (Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Alternating Wednesdays from 6:45AM to 7PM).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives results of assigned area for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Implements and ensures compliance with standards and systems to achieve those results.
Deploys Henkel Production System (HPS) initiatives for the area, including workshops. Utilizes data, develops glidepaths, and action plans to improve performance for the area.
Maintains quality and integrity of system data to ensure accurate reporting.
Performs Behavior Based Safety observations and corrects unsafe behaviors and conditions. Works with the team to identify hazards and implement changes that improve safe work conditions.
Facilitates root-cause analysis for breakdowns, quality incidents, and safety incidents within the facility. Ensures resolution of red conditions.
Supports engineering projects in assigned area. Ensures successful deployment of new product trials on the line and provides feedback to site project leader.
Executes capital KI projects <$25K for the area.
Reviews the preventative maintenance schedule for the area assigned and makes changes, as necessary, to ensure the equipment is maintained in a reliable state.
Assists with scheduled preventative maintenance on the line.
Develops and deploys the changeover standards for the line.
Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a High School Diploma.
A bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering or a similar field is preferred.
Must have 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, high-speed preferred.
Must have at least 2 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Must have at least 2-5 years of experience and understanding of TPM methodologies and implementations.
Must have at least 2 years of experience with Maintenance programs (such as TBM and predictive).
Must have in-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
Must have knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
Must have excellent troubleshooting skills.
Must have the ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations is a plus.
Must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences, including active listening, clear presentation skills, and the capacity to provide and receive feedback at all levels of the organization.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to use and apply continuous improvement theories and concepts in the workplace (i.e., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S).
Must have demonstrated tenacity in driving through obstacles to achieve results and maintain project timelines.
Must have basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Must be able to pivot and adapt to changing priorities in a manufacturing environment.
Must have good time-management and organizational skills.
Must have a strong attention to detail.
Must have good problem-solving skills.
