Job Summary:
Western Governors University is hiring aSenior Full Stack Engineerto join our teamonsiteinSalt Lake City, Utah.
Join our Machine Learning team as a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain AI-driven applications. You'll collaborate closely with Machine Learning Engineers to integrate models into user-friendly solutions. This role spans the entire software development lifecycle, from architecture and coding to testing and deployment, with a focus on performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
Responsibilities: * Develop and deploy AI-driven applications across front-end and back-end systems. * Lead system architecture and design, ensuring high performance and scalability. * Build CI/CD pipelines and maintain robust testing frameworks. * Diagnose and resolve technical issues in applications and infrastructure. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models and data pipelines. * Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field. * 5+ years of full-stack development experience, including 3+ years on ML/AI projects. * Expertise in front-end (React, JavaScript) and back-end (Python, Flask, REST APIs) technologies. * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). * Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Pay Range: $157,000.00 - $243,400.00
