The Collegiate Associate (CA) will work across various areas of research . The CA will support project management and data analysis for research projects within the Research I nstitute. This role will contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of research project deliverables, including participant recruitment, data management, survey development, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes. Additionally, the CA responsibilities may include data analysis and documentation for medium- to large-scale projects, leveraging advanced methodologies to contribute to presentations, publications, and impactful advancements in education and assessment.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Assist with research participant recruitment, including drafting recruitment communication , contacting participants, and verifying participation and consent. ?

  • Prepare and organize materials for ETS Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions. ?

  • Track and manage research data collection through multiple platforms including Prolific for participant recruitment and Alchemer for Survey programing, while maintaining organized data files and documentation

  • Collaborate on research instrument development and implementation, including design of data analysis methodologies and evaluation of new technologies to enhance research systems and tools.

  • Conduct literature searches and reviews to support ongoing research projects. ?

  • Contribute to the planning and scheduling of tasks required to achieve major milestones in large-scale data analysis projects. ?

  • Assist in preparing data analysis sections of project proposals, including cost and resource estimates. ?

  • Aid in documenting data analysis systems, solutions, and results to ensure clarity and reproducibility. ?

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s (Class of 2025 or 2026), Master’s, or Ph.D. program.?

  • Field of study required in a discipline in which ETS holds a research interest. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Linguistics?

  • Education?

  • Psychology, Sociology, or related disciplines?

  • Learning or Cognitive Sciences?

  • Measurement Science?

  • Statistics, Data Science, or Analytics?

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), or Computer Science?

Experience & Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in data analysis and technical project management.

  • Experience in research project management or a combination of research experience and demonstrated knowledge of educational measurement or assessments

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.?

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.?

Selected candidates will be expected to work up to 19 hours per week remotely. The responsibilities outlined in the posting area good faith estimate of the activities that the CA will undertake, but the day-to-day work may vary based on business needs.
