The post-doctoral fellow is responsible in the synthesis of several small and large drug-like molecules, purification of bioactive molecules and structural analysis as well as screening of compounds in wild type and mutant mammalian systems (in vitro and in vivo) to assess their potential effect in rare human disease conditions. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to be familiarized with standard organic synthesis procedures, NMR, mass spectrometry, silica gel flash column chromatography and HPLC. In addition to research activities, following are required: Documenting protocols, keeping lab notebook records upto date, summarizing results in written format weekly and monthly presentation in support of the research activities.
