FIRST STEP HOUSE Part Time Quality Improvement Specialist in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

First Step House is hiring for a part time Quality Improvement Specialist in Salt Lake City, Utah!

The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist contributes the Quality Improvement team's goal to ensure that FSH operations are running to expectations in order to assist FSH staff with providing the best possible services for our patients and funders. This position takes the lead on the monitoring of non-clinical processes. This role can be complex as the QA Specialist must navigate between varying interests of clients, clinical staff, funders, legal entities, and other stake holders and balance multiple roles and responsibilities. This role requires strong collaborative skills, as the QA Specialist will work with various teams, including teams, government agencies and legal entities. The QA Specialist assists the Senior Management Team in other administrative tasks and works in concert with the priorities of directors and the Board of Directors.

  • Pay Ranges from $26.00 - $33.00 per hour

Education and Experience

  • Experience with administrative tasks and spreadsheets is preferred.
  • An associates degree or higher is preferred.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate and manage clinical trainings by coordinating with outside trainers, reserving room, and arranging for food and drink and any items needed by the trainer. Managing reporting for certificates and certificate distribution.
  • Assist in the investigation of grievances and processing and tracking of complaints and suggestions.
  • Keep grant checklists up to date and assist with internal audits.
  • Assist with managing incident reports and outside reporting.
  • Assist with providing de-escalation drills for staff throughout the agency, if onsite.
  • Assist with the review of clinical documentation, if licensure allows.
  • Ensure that onboarding checklists and competency testing are completed for each position and renewed as needed.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly building inspections and follow up on tasks identified.
  • Assist with ensuring that all organizational policy and procedure is accurate and updated.
  • Responsible for understanding and demonstrating outward mindset in work duties and interactions
