Job Summary

 

The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for all workflow processes and meeting the goals and objectives of the entire Facility.

 

Primary Functions:

 

- - Responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, custom requests, processing inquiries, shipping, and inventory control of the center, in order to meet performance goal and operating guidelines consistent with the Facilitys profit objectives and Client Service Level Agreements. Makes recommendations on improvements regarding same.

 

- - Continuously reviews areas of team member responsibility to increase productivity and improve efficiency and counsels and coaches team members as needed.

 

- - Ensure all work is performed by the specified turnaround time through the management of team member workload, schedules, and time off.

 

- - Responsible for team member safety, security of the building, protection of customers assets, equipment, and grounds.

 

- - Communicates and interacts with team members to optimize task performance while maintaining a high level of morale.

 

- - Responsible for the efficient allocation and utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources for the entire facility.

 

- - Conduct interviews for new team members as needed.

 

- - Ensure that measurable standards & expectations for each position in departments are written and updated frequently. Keeps all commitments, operates with integrity, and promotes open book management style.

 

- - Train team members in key job skills including, but not limited to systems, workflows and procedures.

 

- - Provide leadership to the team by setting a personal example for others to emulate and motivates and mentors team members.

 

- - Continuously monitors team member performance and counsels R/C and Transportation Specialist Team Members when performance issues arise and conducts performance reviews of team members.

 

- - Ensure compliance with appropriate OSHA regulations and ensure all accidents and injuries are properly reported.

 

- - Follow through on daily operational tasks relating to the center including, but not limited to, maintaining appropriate inventory, completing R/C audits, managing the destruction process for all clients, authorizing vehicle rentals, facilitating Perm-Outs, completing the weekly productivity tracking worksheet, and facilitating accurate TQMs for all new clients.

 

  • Purchase capital equipment, as well as non-capitalized operational equipment over $100.

     

    • Communicate regularly with Branch Manager, GM or RVP of Operations to notify him or her of any potential issues, including but not limited to those relating to your job, or those relating to the client.

       

    • Ensure the facility passes annual audit process.

       

       

Secondary Functions:

 

- - Participate in safety and security drills and advise the appropriate manager of any violations.

 

- - Know and understand defined role in the Company Disaster Recovery Plan.

 

- - Travel between facilities when ecessary.

 

- - Collaborate with team members.

 

- - Participate in quarterly safety meetings.

 

- - Participate in weekly R/C and Transportation Specialist Team Meeting.

 

 

Other Responsibilities:

 

- - Comply with all company policies and procedures.

 

- - Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

 

Education and Years of Experience:

 

- - High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

- - 2 or 4 year college degree preferred.

 

- - 6-8 years past work experience in data protection operations required.

 

- - At least 3 years prior experience leading service-oriented teams required, with a focus on writing performance appraisals, administering the disciplinary process, and mentoring employees.

 

 

Certifications, Licenses, Credentials:

 

- - None

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

- - Strong and effective communication skills, both oral and written.

 

- - Strong PC-based computer skills.

 

- - Proficient in the use of third-party software and systems used in the operations environment.

 

- - Must have supervisory skills and proven work experience in team-oriented, participative management environment.

 

- - Strong attention to detail.

 

- - Strong customer service skills; values customers and communicates with them in a professional manner.

 

- - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

 

- - Ability to adhere to and enforce all security procedures.

 

- - Must have the ability to guide and educate team members on daily activities and lead by example.

 

- - Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.

 

- - Ability to build strong working relationships.

 

 

Physical Requirements (lifting, etc.):

 

- - Routine lifting of 20-60 pounds.

 

- - Routine scanning of materials.

 

- - Overhead reaching.

 

- - Routine bending and stretching.

 

- - Certified in operating forklift and/or pick lift.

 

- - Must be able to climb stairs and use tools to maneuver materials.

 

 

Pay Rate- Competitive pay rate of $70,000 with a 10% IC Bonus.
