Job Description

Chronicle Heritage is seeking a senior cultural resource management professional to serve as an Office Principal for our Utah office. The selected candidate will perform various activities all in support of growth in the very active CRM market in Utah. We are looking for an ambitious, hardworking, growth-oriented person with attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Although the Office Principal will make independent business decisions within an agreed strategy for growth, they will be supported by the senior management of the company.

Hire Type: Full-time (Salaried) + bonus programs Schedule: Monday--Friday, normal business hours Location: Onsite, Utah office

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of projects and implementation processes to achieve successful completion of all projects
  • Guide and direct team members to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures, and policies
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients to analyze information, needs, and functional requirements for assigned projects
  • Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs for various projects
  • Develop internal communication strategies to ensure communication between various departments within the organization
  • Perform market research to identify new opportunities and create strategic plans to pursue market targets
  • Cultivate and negotiate new business platforms in Utah
  • Develop proposals for existing and new clients

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in archaeology or a related field
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in cultural resources management related to managing federal programs, including contracting, project management, and regulatory consultations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a large, multi-disciplinary team and promote and sustain effective working relationships with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, schedule, and budget management skills
  • Previous experience in the region contributing to the growth of a CRM practice
  • Secretary of Interior Qualified Archeologist
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist
  • Solid understanding of Sections 106 and 110 of the NHPA

Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years of progressive, proven sales experience; with a demonstrated track record in solution selling and client account management
  • Ability to be permitted as a Principal Investigator on federal, tribal, and state permits
  • Experience as a Senior Project Manager, Principal Investigator, Team Lead, Client Service Manager, or Business Developer
  • Experience preparing various technical reports, including treatment plans and comprehensive data recovery reports
  • Strong business acumen

Physical And Mental Requirements And Work Environment

  • Mental requirements include ability to organize one's own work or that of crew members; ability to recognize and observe scientific data and analyze data as well as ability to perform calculations. Must als o be able to observe social and professional interactions and respond appropriately.
  • Some work is performed primarily in an indoor environment and requires sustained sitting and use of fingers, ha ds, and arms to operate a computer and perform keyboard entry of data or document preparation (or equivalent with accommodation). Must also be able to operation standard office equipment (phone, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.)
