Job Summary
Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN / WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
Responsibilities
Configure and install all network edge equipment for new and replacement installations at the University.
Document the network diagrams for new and replacement edge equipment.
Troubleshoot edge equipment to resolve end user issues.
Work with network engineers to solve DNS , Firewall, Load Balancer, VPN and other network issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
