What we need: Code engineering teams are building the next generation of barcode readers allowing our clients to offer superior performance to their customers. As a Mechanical Engineer at Code, you will participate in the evolution of Code products. You will need experience with SolidWorks and exposure to working with plastic injection mold manufacturers. Experience bringing early industrial designs concepts into SolidWorks and working with industrial designers on mechanical design constraints. What you’ll be doing: Proficient in the design, development, production, and maintenance of all mechanical components and assemblies through the product life cycle. Experience taking projects from ID concept, through engineering, to product release. Work with Code manufacturing to identify issues on existing products requiring revisions while also driving new product development. Possess a broad understanding of mechanical engineering principles related to plastic injection molding. Able to complete and review tolerance stacks for multi-component mechanisms. Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. (preferred) Proficient using SolidWorks and EPDM. SolidWorks Plastics. (preferred) Proficient in generating, compiling, and controlling product documentation, drawings, ECO’s and technical data sheets. Experience in various manufacturing processes, including injection molding. Works cross-functionally with internal teams and other core disciplines. (EE, Product Management, Marketing) Experience in an Agile/Scrum workflow. (preferred) Experience designing products for Healthcare/Industrial/Automotive/Commercial Environments. (preferred) Proficient with Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Experience with JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint. (preferred) Desire to contribute, make a difference, be self-motivated and to continuously improve. What you’ll need to be successful: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required. 1-5 Years ME Experience.
