Job Title Manufacturing Supervisor FLSA Exempt Shift Rotating schedule 6:30 am to 6:30 pm Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing production activities in each product group including manufacturing of subassemblies, finished product, rework and related functions as required to meet manufacturing goals/objectives. The Production Supervisor must meet the production schedule, quality standards, develop and maintain a positive employee relations climate. The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing workforce and balancing the line, enforcing GMP, and satisfying compliance issues. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Participates with peers and subordinates in achieving objectives of quality, timely delivery of product, planned cost and personnel development • Provides direct supervision and guidance to production team • Assures compliance with company policies and regulations • Assists Production Manager in budget planning • Anticipates and reacts to shortage of material, equipment problems, and personnel concerns to avoid negative impact on product schedule and goals • Assures work order related documents are completed correctly and on time • Exercise sound judgment and leadership for quality decisions • Assumes leadership role in the identification and resolution of various problems affecting production • Utilizes effective judgment in notifying the Production Manager and others of serious matters related to safety, personnel or operational emergencies • Responsible for the quality of the products produced • Coordinate activities to ensure departmental compliance to all Federal, State, Local and Company regulatory requirements. These elements include FDA, EPA, OSHA, ISO, EEOC and Company policies relative to the manufacture of product, lot control requirements, documentation requirements, housekeeping, preventative maintenance, calibration, associate training and safety (equipment, associate and material). • Perform these and other duties as necessary or required, the inclusion of which will not alter the basic scope of the position • Work on special projects as they arise • Actively demonstrating support through interactions with solid communication skills, attitude, dedication, commitment, respect, pride and trust. Knowledge & Skills • Must be able to read and understand procedures. • Must proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) • Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills • Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic • Self-motivated and ability to work independently Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience • Must be 18 years of age. • High School diploma or equivalent • 3 years of supervisory experience preferred • Associates degree preferred • Previous experience in Production, Engineering, Quality or Materials preferred Work Environment • Work is performed in a clean room environment • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time; depending on the machine they are operating • Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data. • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time. • Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 25 lbs.
