As the Clinical Pharmacy Manager you will work to build a successful team through coaching, proactive leadership in solving high volume or high risk problems, removing obstacles, and developing a customer focused environment while prioritizing and being a champion for our company's mission, vision, and values. Your daily work will include:
Developing, implementing, and overseeing clinical pharmacy services.
Coordinating the maintenance of a cost-effective formulary by drug evaluation, overseeing the buyers at each hospital, and staff and physician education.
Work with other clinical managers and coordinators to assure quality pharmacy services.
Coordinate the pharmacy intern/extern/doctorate student program.
Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
Teaches problem-solving skills to professional departmental staff and team leaders through modeling and instruction.
Acting as a resource for hospital directors, managers, coordinators, and others.
Attaining professional growth by attending or participating in continuing education programs annually
Creating & maintaining an environment conductive to creative teamwork utilizing strategies of CQI.
Staff development & Managing information resource library and training and assessment programs as required by the Collaborative Drug Therapy Management(CDTM) regulations.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified Clinical Pharmacy Manager candidates will need the following skills & experience:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or PharmD required
License Certification
- Licensed Pharmacist in Utah
Experience
Minimum of 3 years as a clinical pharmacist
Understanding of the components of a clinical service
Experience in formulary management (i.e., P&T, MUE, and ADR reporting programs)
Teaching experience such as that obtained during a Pharm.D., residency program, BCPS or other advanced pharmacy certification.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
Management and communication skills; Previous people management experience highly preferred
Education or experience in utilizing continuous quality improvement methods, employee relations, team coaching, and self-directed work teams.
Physical
- Medium Work - must be able to exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
Schedule
- Days M-F with typical business hours. Might have to help with on-call responsibilities occasionally.
