If you enjoy making a difference for children and families in the State of Utah,this career opportunity may be for you. The Salt Lake Valley Region,Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS),is looking to fill a Financial Analyst I position.
This position may be eligible to work a hybrid schedule of both in-office and telework days. In-office days are currently scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The employee may also be required to attend DCFS/DHHS events.
Please note,a position s eligibility for hybrid work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion at any time and for any reason.
Principal Duties
The Financial Analyst I is an entry-level position involving basic routine work assignments where programs are well defined and straightforward. They perform entry level duties,involving accounting,budgeting,financial analysis,and/or financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles,budgeting guidelines,statuses,and/or regulations.
Duties include basic accounting,budget,and other financial functions,for DCFS,Salt Lake Valley region. They perform basic and/or routine analysis of financial records and documents,financial systems,financial statements,budgets,tax and payroll records,and other related documents. May make suggestions for enhancements to financial systems. They also:
- Manage payment activities and provide fiscal information
- Maintain payment processes,accounts for payments and ensure accuracy
- Reconcile multiple accounts and financial reports
- Review fiscal operations to ensure integrity,accuracy,and control of data
- Review documents and reconcil e discrepancies; make needed adjustments
- Maintain and/or create files or record keeping systems. Sort,label,file,and retrieve documents,and/or other materials
- Perform processing,coordinating,and preparing of in-state and out-of-state travel requests and travel reimbursements
- Maintain records of office inventory
