FINICITY CORPORATION Director, Software Engineering in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
Position Duties: Conduct and complete performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, performance improvement conversations, and ad-hoc coaching discussions. Provide training and guidance to team members regarding new processes methodologies, and technologies. Guide the architecture and design of applicant using best practices and ideologies with a long-term technical vision for optional execution and quality. Manage and lead a software engineering team composed of both local and remote team members. Provide technical leadership in building distributed services and databases, alongside test and security driven development. Partner with technology leads to ensure developed solutions adhere to proven best software patterns, reuse of common libraries and services and our architectural target state. Lead, supervise and coach 5+ teams of engineers to build, enhance, and support multiple applications and services in the delivery of internal or market-facing Products, Platforms, or Product bundles deployed inhouse and/or in cloud. Oversee the management of the Software Engineering group and act as the highest authority on high-level and complex decisions within the function.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related and five (5) years of experience in job offered or as software developer, IT manager, or related. Qualifying experience must include at least two (2) years with each of the following: Java; Software Architecture patterns; AWS; Cloud native apps; Splunk; Agile methodology; REST APIs; Microservices; Coaching; Mentoring; Strategy; Monitoring and Reporting; Leadership and People Management.
