University of Utah Development Officer in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
The College of Humanities with University Advancement is seeking an innovative fundraising professional for the position of Development Officer. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Officer will be part of the team raising funds for the College of Humanities, with a focus on supporting Department of Communication priorities.As a top department in the field of communication and one of the largest majors on campus, the Development Officer will work in collaboration with the Chair of Communication to lead, coordinate, plan and implement fundraising activities to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations, and to advance philanthropic partnerships for the Department of Communication and College of Humanities.The desired candidate will have experience working with donors, funders and alumni, cultivating donor relationships, prospect research, portfolio management, case statement and proposal writing, soliciting leadership and major gifts, and donor stewardship.
