State of Utah - Jobs Crisis Certification Program Administrat in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

The Crisis Certification Program Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operation of the crisis certification program. This includes facilitating training,maintaining certifications,finding and managing resources,and communicating with stakeholders and crisis workers throughout the state,offering technical assistance to providers. The Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the program meets high standards of quality and effectiveness. This includes the oversight of standards,training and certification for crisis workers and developing and maintaining a library of best practice resources. This position also supports the crisis services team in the development of oversight of the statewide and local crisis lines,the Utah Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT),Receiving Centers and related crisis initiatives and services.     The position will provide oversight and support existing local crisis services,suicide prevention and crisis line efforts,and technical assistance and monitoring of comprehensive mental health crisis/MCOT services throughout the state.  The position will study crisis line and crisis/MCOT funding mechanisms and provide recommendations.  This may include supporting and monitoring the implementation of pilot projects or grant funded programs. It uses oversight of research and evaluation data to aid in policy,Utah statute,administrative rule,and budget development. This position will coordinate closely with DSAMH leadership,DSAMH substance use disorder,prevention and mental health administrators and staff.   The position requires regular communication and close collaboration with Utah's Local Mental Health and Substance Abuse Authorities in both prevention and treatment capacities,DHS agencies,Mental Health Crisis Line Commission,USAAV,partner healthcare providers,community based organizations and other key stakeholders at the state,county and local levels.     This position oversees assessment of training and technical assistance needs,and provides and coordinates training activities for crisis worker certification. The position administers policies,programs and operations within the Division as they relate to public mental health crisis services,and creates legislative and other outcome reports and recommendations. Contract initiation,management,and oversight including budget oversight is a core responsibility of this position.   Other related administrative tasks as assigned. Preference Applicants must have a Masters Degree or Equivalent Experience.   Applicants having one of the following degrees may receive preference: Master of Social Worker,Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy,Masters in Professional Counseling or Masters of Psychology,other Behavioral Health related Master Degree.  Current Clinical Licensure in chosen discipline may also receive preference.
