Job Title: Community Resources Specialist Reports To: Social Services Coordinator

Principle Function

The Community Resources Specialist will lead the coordination of community resources for those clients being served within our Social Services team. The focus will be to develop community-based partnerships and develop resources to support eligible clients with an emphasis on documentation of resources and services provided to clients.

This role is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Social Services Coordinator and is a 100% on-site role unless there are meetings, training, or other approved exceptional circumstances.

Major Responsibilities

· Coordination of community resources

  • Develop beneficial community connections, partnerships, and resources in response to assessed customer needs.

  • Create resource guides and pathways to maximize resettlement agency's ability to efficiently and effectively support customer needs.

  • Establish pathways for communication and referrals between resettlement agency staff, customers, and community partners.

  • Engage with a minimum of 30 community resources per quarter.

  • Supportive services are not intended to replace case management services.

  • Supportive services are supplemental services for eligible case managed and

  • non-case managed customers.

  • Maintain a record of all customer services provided.

  • Customers served must meet all previously established eligibility requirements.

Job Qualifications

· Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated appropriate decisiveness and creative problem-solving when making decisions regarding next steps for cases.

  • Ability to follow directions, manage time, work well under pressure, and maintain composure during stressful situations.

  • Access to a personal vehicle, proof of valid driver's license, auto insurance, current registration, good driving record and passing a background check is required.

· Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Social Service experience working with diverse populations

  • Experience working with refugees and immigrants.

  • Multilingual with preference to Ukrainian, Spanish or Swahili languages
