Edwards Lifesciences Clerk, Production Supply in Salt Lake City, Utah

Ensures the proper storage, recordkeeping, inventory counts, and conditions of storage, in keeping with regulatory and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the process of accurately issuing parts and adjusting inventory counts per work orders using RF Smart scanners which links to JDE, resolving count discrepancies, providing timely fulfillment of production material requests to ensure no disruption to the production schedule, including conducting investigations and root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies, performing higher level tasks and special improvement project assignments, as needed, while working independently at the highest levels of quality and productivity

• Perform daily cycle counts per established schedule and reconcile discrepancies, including researching root cause and escalating to supervisor for resolution, as needed

• Receive and store materials in designated warehouse locations to facilitate ease of access and retrieval including proposing changes to storage layouts

• Update work order status in sharepoint Access Database to ensure all parties have up-to-date status on all materials

• Drive the development of measurements and metrics in the monitoring of inventory movement and participate in continuous process improvement within the area

• May monitor inventory levels and generate requisitions for replenishment, receive raw materials and components in JDE based on the purchasing priority list, and provide receiving documentation to finance for payment to vendors

• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including entering information into JDE

• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period

• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping, photocopying, work performance documentation, expediting material movement from receiving warehouse by physically moving materials

Education and Experience:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent 3 years experience previous work experience Required

Additional Skills:

• Strong communication skills

• Strong communication skills, e.g., providing work instructions, using tact and diplomacy to resolve disputes

• Strong computer skills with proven ability to learn computer-based programs

• Forklift certification for operation of golf cart, preferred

• Able to read, comprehend, speak, and write English

• Good math skills, equivalent with high school education level

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred

• Adhere to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to warehouse operations Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following detailed work instructions and SOPs

• Work in a Team environment, including exchanging information related to performing required tasks with colleagues, within and outside of the warehouse

• Strict attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to accurately perform semi-routine work such as material picking, sorting, and cycle counting, including higher level JDE and other related system operation, updates, and investigations

• In-depth knowledge of component part numbers compatibility with work orders

• Flexibility to work varying shifts and/or overtime, as needed

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
