If you would like an opportunity to join a team of passionate individuals who work hard in providing quality medical care,this is the job for you.   The Clinical Health Services at the Department of Health and Human Services is seeking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with an ability to work effectively with medical staff,officers and offenders.* * In this position you will integrate nursing care between professional disciplines;  assist with caring for the mental health and physical needs of offenders;  provide quality nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team;  observe,report,document,and communicate interventions,treatments,behaviors,emergency needs,and medical situations as they arise for the offenders. This position will require rotating weekends.                      * * *  *The ideal candidate will:  

• Have a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Utah.
• Have some experience working in a hospital,nursing,or secure patient environment. 
• Skilled in the use of computers and electronic health records.
• Have demonstrated ability to take and record vital signs; transfer and transport patients in a safe manner using proper body mechanics;  recognize signs and symptoms indicating distress; and to perform CPR if needed.
• Have good patient assessment skills.
• Have good documentation skills.
• Be detail oriented.
• Have the ability to work well with medical staff,officers and offenders.
