Wasatch Electric is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Project Engineer for various project sites. We are seeking someone who can multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

SUMMARY

The Assistant Project Engineer will assist project engineers and project teams with the organization of project documents and record drawings.

The Assistant Project Engineer position is a part time position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager in duties including document control, production and submission of RFIs, change order processing, and change order management.

  • Assist the Project Team in document distribution, the keeping of accurate and up-to-date record drawings, and lighting fixture and gear package management from submission to installation.

  • Assist the General Foremen and Foremen in the research of information needed for the project’s installations, in organizing and distributing project information, in recording as-built conditions on the project documents, and in the production of documentation requesting clarification of design in the form of RFIs and follow up responses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The successful Assistant Project Engineer will be a motivated self-starter that is able to work well with a team and be an individual that works well when taking directions from others, specifically the project engineer(s) that they work with and report to. Please note Education and/or below.

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees and other professionals.

  • The employee may work in an office environment, construction site office trailer, or on a construction job site during construction operation hours. Some duties in this position may be performed under periodically disagreeable working conditions typical of a construction jobsite including working outdoors at times in inclement weather, exposure to water, dust, dirt, grease, paint fumes, chemicals, and equipment noise and vibration. This job may require driving to / from other job or constructions sites, sometimes working at more than one site in a day or during the week. Some jobsites may require working in tunnels, or on roofs or catwalks.
