The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah seeks an Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist to join a dynamic section of Heart Failure, Transplant, and Mechanical Circulatory Support that includes 10 physicians, 8 advanced practice providers and comprehensive multidisciplinary staff.
The University of Utah has state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities within a vibrant academic setting. We provide medical and surgical treatments for the full spectrum of acute and chronic heart failure, including pharmacotherapy, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. In addition, subspecialty programs include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, amyloidosis, sarcoidosis and cardio-oncology. This is complemented by an established comprehensive basic, translational, clinical and population research program in advanced heart disease supported by extramural funding.
Applicants for this position should have interest in an academic career as a clinician investigator, physician scientist or clinician educator. Academic rank and track will be determined based on qualifications and compensation based on academic rank, administrative, and educational experience.
Minimum Qualifications : MD, ABIM Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant, eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah
