This is an outstanding opportunity to join a vibrant and collegial academic environment. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for an Adult Congenital Heart Disease ( ACHD ) Cardiologist. The Cardiologist will provide cardiac care to children and adults with congenital heart disease in the outpatient and inpatient settings, and will participate in night and weekend call coverage in Pediatrics and in the ACHD program. Most pediatric clinical activities will be carried out at Primary Children’s Hospital, a tertiary referral center for a three-state area located on the hills overlooking Salt Lake City. Children with congenital heart disease in transition age, and adults with congenital heart disease, are seen at Primary Children’s Hospital, Intermountain Medical Center, and at the University of Utah Hospital. In addition to clinical service, responsibilities will also include teaching, research and administration activities

The ACHD provider will be joining a 30-member division of Pediatric Cardiology including 4 adult congenital cardiologists (2 adult, 2 pediatric cardiology). The Division has a very active clinical program, with a growing volume of adults with congenital heart disease. In addition, the Division has a thriving fellowship training program, a very active clinical research program, and a core site in the Pediatric Heart Network funded by the NIH . There will be protected time for clinical research with mentoring available within the Division for clinical research studies.

Qualified candidates must have successfully completed a Pediatrics or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency, and must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Pediatric Cardiology, and in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure Track at the academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
