Robert Half Accounting Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah

Description

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an experienced GL Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant for a 6-month consulting on-site role, focusing primarily on reconciling balance sheets for multiple manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities overview:

  • Undertake cleanup of the reconciliation process in preparation for the annual audit.

  • Handle reconciliation issues ranging from simple to complex for over 1200 accounts.

  • Optimize the usage of Blackline, integrating and configuring the tool for their unique business needs.

  • Perform reconciliations in Blackline, employing high analytical skills to ensure that the data and results are appropriate for this platform.

  • Utilize and encourage the usage of checklists and templates which are severely underused due to significant lack of training.

  • Provide training to local team members on reconciliation and use of integrated systems.

  • Work with a variety of ERP systems including NetSuite, JDE, Epicore, and Sage 50.

  • Particular emphasis on optimizing and rectifying issues within NetSuite, understanding that considerable time may be spent on this system alone.

  • Undertake the transition and optimization of clerical level accounting work to appropriate accounting roles.

  • Provide necessary support during the upcoming audit and ensure the organization is audit-ready.

    Requirements

  • Extensive general ledger accounting experience with high adherence to GAAP

  • Strong month-end close experience

  • Strong experience with Blackline, especially with groupings and optimization

  • Robust NetSuite skills and knowledge.

  • Excellent ability to work with Microsoft Excel and integrate it with other software tools.

  • Understanding of various ERP systems, primarily NetSuite

  • An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in training and development of personnel.

  • Able to navigate a dynamic work environment where re-organization is currently underway.
