Dental Assistant
The dental assistant is a member of the dental health services team and performs duties and related support according to established policies and protocols of CHC dental department. This position is a Monday through Friday position working 40 hours per week. Full benefit package included.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Prepares dental materials correctly, as needed, and in an amount sufficient to meet the needs of the procedure without excessive waste of materials.
- Prepares operatories, disinfects rooms, monitors equipment and supplies, and maintains film developing and processing equipment; including replenishing fluid levels, cleanliness, etc.
- Assures that all instruments, charts, and radiographs are available prior to the patients arrival.
- Ensures chart information is accurate and complete and follows with the appropriate personnel.
- Tracks lab cases according to established procedures.
- Performs assigned housekeeping tasks and housekeeping documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Radiology certified preferred
Experience
- High level of communication and customer service skills
- 1 - 2 years work experience preferred
