Summary
This person is directly involved in maintaining the facility in a clean and safe work environment. This position will be handling maintenance and construction activities as needed, but not limited to: flooring, painting, plumbing, pm inspections, unload deliveries with forklift and other related duties as required. This associate will be responsible for documenting daily work activities and reporting deficiencies found during the work day. Associate may be utilized on an as needed basis to help maintain the facilities grounds including but not limited to; mowing, sweeping, trash pickup and weed trimming.
This position has a base rate of $16-$22.00 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Documenting daily work activities and reporting deficiencies found during the work day
Handling maintenance and construction activities as needed, but not limited to: flooring, painting, plumbing, pm inspections, unload deliveries with forklift and other related duties as required
Help maintain the facilities grounds including but not limited to; mowing, sweeping, trash pickup and weed trimming
Minimum Education
- High School or equivalent not required but preferred.
Experience Requirements
Must be able to operate hand tools in a safe manner including hammers, screwdrivers, ratchets, hoists, etc. (Power and specialized tools shall be available to use by company).
Must be detail oriented and proficient with basic math skills to include having the ability to read a tape measure.
Must be able to recognize and maintain confidentiality as it pertains to our customers.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have good organizational skills with the ability to Multitask.
Must have the ability to perform all job duties in a safe manner utilizing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
Valid State of Delaware driver's license and ability to obtain a Perdue Forklift license within one week of being hired.
The qualified candidate will have at least six months of service in his/her present position, two or less unexcused absences and zero active disciplinary warnings.
Strong reading, math, writing and comprehensive skills are required
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
In stationary positions or moving for 12 hours on a wet, moist, dry and greasy floor which includes metal or plastic grating surfaces with up to four (4) hours in a single interval.
Ability to climb stairs, upon equipment, catwalks, and work from various ladders.
Exposure to and work in temperatures of <0 to >110 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient humidity, noise exposure of >110 db, and light intensity range of <50 to >100 foot candles.
Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, height, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depends upon the maintenance task being perform. Must be able to lift and control weights up to 100 pounds. Must be able to bend down andto maintain a kneeling position.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Exposure to chlorinated water <50ppm, ammonia vapors >5ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, salt, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing operation.
Must wear and/or use protective and safety equipment required for the job.
