Job Summary

This position will be responsible for managing job cost accounting activities including billing, job invoice coding, job quantity tracking, and other job related tasks.

Responsibilities/Duties

Job Duties

  • Work with Project Managers and Contract Administrator to properly code all subcontractor and job-related invoices, track subcontractor quantities,

  • Monitor job costs to ensure accurate reporting of costs.

  • Work with Project Managers and Contract Administrator to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly job cost adjustments.

  • Work with Project Managers and Contract Administrator to validate and reconcile job quantities to prepare billing to customers. Enter billing into ERP.

  • Work with Project Managers to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices from customers and actively participate in internal Accounting and company wide Accounts Receivable meetings.

  • Work with Contract Administrator to discuss gains/fades with Project Managers. Report results of discussions to Northern Region Accounting & Finance Department to ensure updates are made to entity wide WIP.

  • Review estimated costs to complete and work with Project Managers to update as appropriate. Communicate updates to Northern Region Accounting & Finance Department to ensure updates are made to entity wide WIP.

  • Prepare and record monthly job-related accruals.

  • Assist and serve as backup for Contract Administrator for various functions, including but not limited to importing jobs and change orders into the ERP, ordering bonds, submitting Certificate of Insurance requests as needed, and facilitating the completion of lien waivers and provide to customers.

  • Assist plant in some administrative duties, including daily deposits for cash sales at plants.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Must be able to work well with a variety of personalities and levels within the organization.

  • Must be able and comfortable visiting job sites when necessary.

  • Valid Virginia driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Ability to travel locally and throughout Virginia.

  • Ability to pass background check.
