Honeywell Software Engineer I in Salem, Oregon

As a Software Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for developing and maintaining software applications and solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, code, test, and debug software programs. Your expertise in software development will contribute to the success of our projects and drive innovation in our solutions.

You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Salem, OR location on a hybrid work schedule.

Honeywell’s Security and Access Solutions business provides high-value security products and services that are critical for buildings around the globe. Building operators and security teams across dynamically evolving verticals depend on our mobile- and cloud-enabled technologies for access control, intrusion detection, and locking solutions to help create safer and more efficient facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software applications • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code • Debug and resolve software defects • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies

YOU MUST HAVE

• Experience in software development using programming languages such as React, Typescript, JavaScript, C#, .NET • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

WE VALUE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or a related field • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies • Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) • Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies
