Job Purpose

Mitsubishi Chemical Group is seeking a Learning and Development Trainer to join a team committed to excellence, continuous improvement and driving sustainable business results. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing employee performance through effective training programs and initiatives. This position requires a strong background in instructional design, curriculum development, and program management to ensure that our workforce is equipped with the necessary skillsand knowledge to excel in their roles. This role will holistically oversee the Mitsubishi Chemical Group training program from creation of material through delivery to employees and tracking their progress. Principal Accountabilities

  • Work directly with Chief Compliance Officer – Americas Region to develop and implement a training plan and strategy for Compliance and Legal training.

  • Collaborate with other MCG Compliance & Legal Department members to develop in house training content for live and targeted training programs.

  • Manage the content selection and review process of ONLINE compliance training coursework.

  • Collaborate with other MCG Regions on training plans and activities.

  • Create training materials (from SME content) using variety of learning methods, modes and models.

  • Customize and adapt vendor training content to company and individual needs

  • Maintain uniformity and presentability of training materials

  • Coordinate, schedule, and track training

  • Maintain database and intracompany repository for training materials

  • Support implementation of annual training plan in response to identified risks

  • Develop and deliver remedial/targeted training in response to identified areas for improvement or corrective action requirements

  • Develop and enhance the training program with a goal of continuous improvement

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline highly preferred or equivalent of experience in training & development

  • 4-8 years of developing and delivering training programs to a wide range of audiences and aligning curriculum with business outcomes and realizing measurable impact

  • This role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, technical skills, and strong communication abilities to support diverse training initiatives across the organization

  • Experience in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or Organizational Development, with a strong understanding of adult learning theories and emerging learning trends

  • Experience conducting training to both operations-based and corporate based employees

  • Experience managing training across multiple locations in a wide geographical area

  • Knowledge of training software and tools and related functionality

  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills

  • Experience with adaptive, gaming, and competence-based training

  • Engaging presenter

  • Self-starter who is organized, resourceful and flexible, with superb attention to detail

  • Proven project management and implementation skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $85,700-$128,500. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
