About the Job
The senior process engineer assumes accountability for Pyro [1] process, comminution, classification, hydration, and/or precipitation across all production units utilizing that technology. The senior process engineer establishes themselves as the resident expert in this technology, both in its current and future utilization.
Requirements
Required BS in Engineering or related field with preference for advanced degree in Engineering.
10+ years of process and operations management experience

Essential Functions
Have fully developed Expertise and Experience in a key business process area (Pyro-Process, Comminution, Classification, Hydration, and Precipitation)
Lead technology application in their Key area of Expertise company wide
Gap analysis of all similar processes with implementable strategy to close gaps
Conversion Rates, Throughput, and Quality Capability
Evaluation of new and existing assets for benchmarking
Understand competitive advantages and weaknesses.
Interact with all assets across the company to help them.
New Product Development, Product Commercialization, and Quality Focus
Work with Sales/Marketing Group to bring new products or modified products to commercial production o Interface directly with external customers to solve issues and identify opportunities for MLC and the Customer
Mentorship, Leadership, Training and Development o Lead and Develop Process Engineer staff involved in Processes.
Spend time developing technical knowledge of operational supervisor and leads.
Flexibility and Influence
Possess the ability to move to other Process units to perform work.
Installation of equipment in non-assigned plant
Influence area more than one area and drive process improvements ther e
Equip Operations in multiple sites to drive performance improvement.
Technology and Capital Projects o Development new technologies and new applications of technology to MLC processes o Support the process and technology responsibilities in large capital projects.
Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.
