Job Description

Job Summary:

The Raymond James Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is looking for a talented and experienced security engineer to join our dynamic and growing engineering team. The team is a global organization based out of St. Petersburg, Florida which engineers and manages various industry-leading identity management systems. This role is perfect for a security engineer with experience in any identity access management system, but is passionate in other IAM disciplines and looking to gain experience and attack new challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Lead in detecting and analyzing identified vulnerabilities, and remediate any security gaps in line with the security incident management procedure.

  • Provide fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges to limit and address issues promptly.

  • Discuss and recommend more complex or innovative technical developments to improve system quality

  • Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve noncompliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.

  • Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

  • Work primarily within SSO/User Authentication and possess deep background and experience in this domain.

  • Supports other IAM technologies as necessary.

  • Analyze system requirements, including identifying interactions and appropriate interfaces between affected components and sub systems.

  • Proactively plan capacity of platforms and applications.Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.

  • May participate in projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy and delivering results on time.

  • Write and/or review system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagramsIncumbents may be required to work a non-traditional schedule including on-call hours on a frequent or rotating basis.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of: o Strong Experience with SiteMinder, Ping, or Oktao Authentication services and standards around SSOo Experience with RSA SecureID and Active Directory o Experience troubleshooting federation and authentication issues o Experience onboarding applications to SSO processeso Security best practices for Windows-based and Linux-based systems including authentication principles and components. o Microsoft Active Directory architecture.o System monitoring and event analysis. o Windows Server and Workstation Operating Systems.

  • Works independently and provides guidance and training to others on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.

  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.

  • Works at an advanced level to conduct activities to collect, analyze, diagram (model), and report information and data flow, including state changes, to help make strategic decisions, achieve major goals, and solve complex problems. Typically works independently and provides guidance.

  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.

  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on analyzing data from multiple sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendations.

Education

Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Information Technology
