Where is the work :
This position has been designated as On-Site.
What you will do:
Coordinate and supervise the activities of the Warehouse Coordinators, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery and receipt of shipments.
Develop and execute effective scheduling and dispatching strategies for trucks and rail cars to meet customer demands.
Track shipments from pickup through delivery, providing accurate and up-to-date information to stakeholders.
Negotiate with transportation providers to obtain the best rates and service, and maintain strong working relationships.
Monitor and measure service levels, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Process transportation requirement requests from customers, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, MDI info & KPIs to track performance and identify trends and problems.
Actively problem-solve any issues that arise during the shipping and receiving process, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance customer service.
Mentor and develop the Warehouse Coordinators, providing guidance and support as needed.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics or planning, preferably in a shipping and receiving role.
Proficiency in logistical software and tools, with the ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and/or Alteryx or Tableau for data analysis.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with team members and other departments.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Influencing skills to drive process improvements and gain support from stakeholders.
Analytical mindset, comfortable analyzing and interpreting data to make informed decisions.
Customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 70,000- $80,000
