Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines. The role involves maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Candidates will work on both CNC Mill and CNC Lathe machines, including 3, 4, 5, and 9 axis machines.

Responsibilities

  • Work on both Mill and Lathe CNC Machines including Mazak, Mazak Integrex, OKK, Haas, Okuma Lathe (1 and 3 spindle), and Mori Seiki.

  • Perform CNC Machine set-ups and operate equipment to support parts requirements using Mazatrol, G Code, and M Code.

  • Handle all tooling changeovers and adjustments.

  • Run and measure to close and exact tolerances.

  • Ensure productivity of CNC Machines.

  • Make quality measurements, check dimensions, analyze data, and make appropriate adjustments to meet part specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing set up, operating, and running CNC Mill or CNC Lathe Machines OR a RANKEN DEGREE.

  • Experience performing set ups, tooling adjustments, quality checks, and troubleshooting of machinery.

  • Understanding of GDNT symbols.

  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

  • Experience working with tight tolerances.

  • Ability to read programming; Mazatrol, G Code, M Code.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Aerospace experience preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The climate-controlled machine shop includes 19 CNC Machining Centers, 6 CNC Turning Centers including Mazak Integrex, an Omax Waterjet, 3, 4, 5, and 9 axis capabilities, and in-house EDM hole popping. Shifts are Monday-Thursday: 6am-4pm (1st shift) and 3:30pm-2am (2nd shift with a $2 shift differential), as well as weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (1st shift with a $2 shift differential and 3rd shift with a $4 shift differential). Training on day shifts for several months is required. The role involves frequent set ups with typically 1 or 2 high-value parts being run.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Peters, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $80000.00

Monthly Manufacturing Performance Incentives with the opportunity to earn up to $550 per month.
