Twin City Staffing is seeking an experienced and motivated yard jockey in Saint Paul. In this yard jockey role, you ll be responsible for safely moving trailers and maintaining an organized yard. Location: Saint Paul, MN Wage: $26 - 28/hr. Hours: Schedule 1 - Sunday through Wednesday, 6:30 pm - 5 am Schedule 2 - Thursday through Saturday, 6:30 pm - 5 am Benefits of the yard jockey: 401(k) with company contribution Paid vacation and holidays Career growth opportunities Comprehensive healthcare benefits Service recognition and employee rewards Tuition reimbursement Uniforms provided Access to wages on-demand Duties of the yard jockey: Operate shuttles to move trailers from building to building, staging area and from various loading dock doors Receive instructions via radio and perform trailer shuttling to accommodate logistical needs Perform daily maintenance on shuttle trucks and report any malfunctions to the garage Document all trailer moves Fuel yard truck as needed Perform duties in all weather conditions Hook up / unhook tractor trailer units Connect / disconnect brake lines as needed Perform safety inspections on trailers according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Secure all equipment Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation Requirements of the yard jockey: High school diploma or equivalent Previous yard / holster experience is preferred Valid Class A CDL preferred DOT certifiable Basic math skills Stand, walk, and climb in/out of tractor trailers for entire shift Lift up to 50 lbs.
