The Oracle Local Government Global Industry Unit is in the process of designing & developing a suite of SaaS applications for the local government markets using cutting edge technologies. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives.

Who You Are:

The Technical Consultant role is a challenging, exciting opportunity for you to lead integration and data conversion activities for our new NetSuite for Government product within our growing business unit. In this role you will work with multiple customers and be responsible for successfully guiding and leading data conversion activities and third-party integrations for NetSuite for Government implementations. You will work with a strong project team of leaders in the Oracle Local Government Business Unit, across Product, Development and Support organizations to focus on delivering a world-class implementation of Oracle software and products.

You will use your experience in data analysis, mapping, and conversion activities to identify customer needs and lead the delivery of a successful data conversion plan. You will lead defining and implementing integrations with NetSuite for Government and third-party applications such as payroll systems, business intelligence tools and others. You will use your strong influencing and negotiation skills to work with internal stakeholders and customers to achieve successful outcomes. You are excited to assist in designing and developing data conversion and integration processes for a new software solution. You are excited to partner with Product and Engineering teams to further enhance implementation tools and processes as our product scales and grows.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Own and deliver data conversions and integrations for Oracle NetSuite for Government customers

  • Use your background in government accounting and finance to identify and solve critical data conversion and integration objectives

  • Develop trusted relationships with customers, set expectations, provide meaningful and timely communication, and deliver on promises and commitments

  • You will partner with Product, Development, and Support to define and develop implementation tools and practices for future projects

  • Methodically manage complex business and logistical challenges

  • Provide regular status on deliverables and milestones to the project team and to the customer

  • Exercise creativity, independent judgment, and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques

  • Exhibit strong executive presence and ability to interact with key project sponsors

What you've done:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 5 years) work experience

  • 5+ years working on complex cloud and SaaS conversion projects to successful delivery

  • 3+ years’ experience with accounting conversions, preferably government accounting

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite SuiteScript is a big plus

  • Experience with APIs (REST and SOAP)

  • Proven self-starter that proactively develops working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and time management skills

  • Experienced with gap analysis, risk mitigation, issue documentation, tracking and prioritization

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Shown comfort working in rapid paced environments with evolving expectations and priorities.

  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time depending on need

It would be awesome if you also had:

  • Knowledge/familiarity with Oracle products and services, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Oracle NetSuite Certifications

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
