CBRE’s Location Intelligence team is looking for a top-tier professional to manage a high-performing team of GIS professionals who deliver unique, interactive products and services in support of our clients’ across all lines of business and asset types. The ideal candidate will be an excellent people manager and communicator, collaborative, customer service oriented, comfortable presenting in meetings, and enthusiastic about working with clients, sales professionals and other team members to deliver best of class services. What You'll Do:

The GIS Director works closely with other CBRE professionals to counsel clients on Location Intelligence-based solutions. This collaboration may include consulting, demonstrations, providing custom solutions, assisting with proposal writing, and delivering on engagements.

Supervises and manages all aspects of production (e.g. map and app creation for project fulfillment) to our sales professionals and clients for Consulting and/or high-value assignments.

Recommends, collaborates, and implements changes to internal processes by working with stakeholders to improve the delivery of GIS and related content to our internal and external audiences.

Provides guidance to management and sales professionals regarding specific data and products we use to provide deliverables. Coordinates and implements directives from the Location Intelligence Leadership team. Promotes and fosters relationships while serving as liaison for clients.

Serves as workload and traffic manager for the Consulting GIS team in order to juggle and prioritize a large volume of projects. Additionally, provides guidance and direction where needed and manages expectations with stakeholders in high pressure situations.

Serves as the expert on Location Intelligence deliverables and guides the GIS team to the highest quality outcomes for our clients and professionals.

Coordinates and manages large national projects, including new business pursuits and existing corporate accounts. Assigns jobs to GIS professionals, provides and/or delegates back-up assistance as needed. Maintains work logs of projects using proprietary workload management system.

Intervenes when concerns or feedback is raised and addresses them with both the client and the GIS professional ensuring an optimal resolution for all parties.

Serves as champion of the Location Intelligence platform and educates end-user groups on the capabilities of Location Intelligence services. Solicits feedback from clients and relays information to stakeholders in order to provide an excellent customer service experience.

Partners with the Sr. Director of Location Intelligence to source top-talent and works closely with the Operations Director, D&T, and Trainers to ensure a seamless transition into Location Intelligence for new hires. Responsible for supporting team development, managing direct report's performance, and ensuring the team is engaged.

Makes recommendations to Location Intelligence leaders with ideas and improvements to current and new applications which involve the GIS Developers.

Provides formal supervision to individual employees on the Consulting team. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, corrective action and termination. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four-year college or university in Geography or a related field, plus a minimum of 7+ years related work experience to include GIS Technology.

Master's Degree is preferred.

Requires at least 3 years in supervisory capacity managing a team of direct reports.

Priority given to candidates with direct experience in site selection for retail, industrial, or commercial real estate settings.

Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) or related certifications preferred.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues in a timely manner. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to read and manage budget line items related to compensation (I&B). Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Mastery of ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro for desktop) and all related extensions including Business Analyst, 3D analyst, Spatial Analyst, and Model Builder.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Alteryx and Microsoft Office Suite is highly preferred.

Knowledge of GIS terms, concepts and definitions with the ability to clearly teach all levels of users is highly preferred.

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic GIS based solutions. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the line of business.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Location Analytics Director is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Location Analytics Director position is $145,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
