Kelly Services Histology Laboratory Technician in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an experienced Histology Lab Tech for a direct-hire (permanent) position with one of industry partners in the Twin Cities area. Job Summary: Responsible for preparing and staining tissue specimens for microscopic examination and diagnosis.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM
- Can be flexible to an earlier start time (6:00AM) if preferred!
Job Type: direct-hire (permanent)
Pay Range:
Associate Histology Technician (0 experience): $22-24/hour
Histology Technician (1 year of experience): $28-31/hour
Senior Histology Technician (3 years with ASCP certification, 5 years without): $30-35/hour
Essential Functions:
Routine tissue trimming, processing, embedding, sectioning, and slide staining.
Operate and maintain lab equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Handle and dispose of lab solutions and reagents.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
Maintain study and department records.
Follow instructions/SOPs; minimize rework.
Collaborate with the Pathology and Necropsy Teams.
Assist in training new staff.
Plan lab work schedules to meet deadlines.
Participate in data and document review.
Prepare slides with special stains as requested.
Order and maintain supplies.
Recognize and deviate from accepted practice as needed.
Work under supervision; minimal instruction on routine work.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
