Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to cover day-to-day work and continuous improvement. This role allows other team members to focus on capital projects. Responsibilities include adding sensors, alarming, programming, and working closely with maintenance when automated machines require troubleshooting. This is a hands-on, onsite position, with 50% of the time spent on these tasks.
The other 50% of the time will be dedicated to overseeing capital projects from an Electrical Engineering perspective and commissioning machinery. This role involves conceiving, creating, evaluating, implementing, and continuously improving products and manufacturing processes. You will provide control system support to automated production lines, assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting, utilize problem-solving skills to address root causes, and implement machine program modifications for safety, quality, or productivity improvements. Additionally, you will revise electrical schematics and maintain electrical documentation for production machinery.
