ABM Industries Control Room Assistant in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Overview

Position Summary Details:

The Control Room Assistant maintains the efficient flow of traffic within the parking garage using a computer-operated control panel to open and close entrance and exit lanes as assigned by the manager. The employee will answer customer calls, which are initiated by the "help" button on pay machines and will assist customers or cashiers with needs related to entrance and exit protocol. The control room assistant will provide daily activity reports to the manager and will perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Available Shifts:

  • Saturday 2pm to 10:30pm AND Sunday & Monday 5:30pm to 2am (24 hours)

Essential Functions

  • Answer customer and client inquiries via phone or in-person interaction

  • Provide excellent customer service to cashiers, clients and parking customers

  • Resolve customer complaints

  • Operate parking control panel appropriately

  • Provide daily reports on standards, procedures, and regulatory reviews and audits

  • Maintain consistent communication with parking management and other team members

  • Must be detailed oriented and able to solve and handle problems under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing

  • Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten year work history if available

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One Year of Similar Experience

  • Customer Service Experience

  • Ability to multi-task a variety of recurring technical activities
