Robert Half Compensation Analyst in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description

We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our non-profit team in the Central Twin Cities. In this role, you will take on a critical function in the design, development, and administration of our organization's compensation programs. This includes ensuring consistent administration in compliance with organization policy and government regulations, and maintaining the compensation structure in our HRIS system.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and administer various salary programs including merit pay programs, reward and recognition programs, and incentive programs.

• Analyze compensation and performance review data, prepare summary reports, and make recommendations based on findings.

• Provide consultative services to management, advising on areas of compensation.

• Evaluate salary recommendations and adjustments, assessing organizational impact before approval.

• Research and gather data on compensation and benefits trends within similar industries and geographic areas, making recommendations for changes to programs, processes, and policies based on findings.

• Participate in salary surveys to ensure our organization's data is reflected in surveys used for market pricing and identifying market trends.

• Develop and maintain severance packages in collaboration with HR manager.

• Ensure compliance and implement required minimum wage analysis, communication, and implementation annually.

• Develop and update policies and procedures, maintaining the integrity of information within written materials.

• Monitor legislation at city, state, and federal levels for potential impact on compensation programs.

• Design, develop, and conduct organization-wide communication and training regarding compensation.

• Work with managers to prepare and maintain job descriptions for all positions in the organization, ensuring descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed.

• Evaluate and assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt, assign EEO codes, and establish appropriate salary ranges.

• Set up and maintain job codes in the HRIS system.

• Develop and maintain compensation reports for auditing organization pay equity and trends.

• Manage and maximize the use of HRIS and other software systems in the daily and annual review and analysis of employee salaries compared to market medians.

An ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, or similar. A minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources (specifically in compensation analysis) is also a requirement for this position. This position offers 3-4 days work from home (remote) once trained.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of advanced Excel formulas

• Understanding of Compensation & Benefits, including Compensation Administration

• Experience with Benefit Functions and Benefits Administration

• Knowledge of various compensation structures such as Compensation - Base, Compensation - Commissions, and Compensation - Executive

• Ability to conduct Compensation Analysis and Compensation Benchmarking

• Familiarity with Compensation Law

• Strong customer service skills

• Proficiency in using UKG Pro software

• Experience in handling Bonus Program and Commission Functions

• Ability to analyze trends in the non-profit sector
