Hiring: Maintenance Mechanic

$30-34/hr Direct Placement, Dependent on Experience

3rd Shift 6:00pm-6:00am 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule

Job Description

We are looking for maintenance mechanics for overnight 12-hour shifts to maintain and repair production lines, and maintain the overall building.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily jobs and work orders

• Work collaboratively with maintenance staff on work practices and procedures

• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, troubleshoot, maintain, and install mechanical and electrical systems

• Prepare for and acquire necessary parts for tasks

• Communicate with departments, vendors, subcontractors, and management about any issues affecting production efficiency

• Document all repairs and complete paperwork, identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Essential Skills

• Machine maintenance

• Preventative maintenance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of technical training related to automated packaging machinery systems OR

• 2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment field

Work Environment

• This position is located in a beverage plant, a food manufacturing environment with very high food quality regulations.

• The facility is very sanitary, and hairnets and gowns are worn by all production staff.

SCHEDULE DETAILS:

• The mechanics are split into two shifts at night.

• Shift A works every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday.

• Shift B works every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday, offering a balanced 3-days week 1 and 4-days week 2 schedule.

• Work 36 hours 1 week, and 48 the next week. Automatic OT built into the schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $71000.00/yr.

rotating shift, but has built in OT every other week. They work 36 hours one week, 48 hours another week and so on. With that in mind, if someone is making $33/hr they are actually making $36.30 on the year if it is averaged out.

They also will get to spend 78 extra days off from the schedule. That is 78 extra days to spend time with their families, not including PTO and holiday pay as well!
