The Shipping Coordinator at the St. Louis TTH Manufacturing Site will be responsible for coordinating the logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement of materials and products. This role involves working closely with various departments, suppliers, and transportation providers to optimize logistics processes, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Your key responsibilities

  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and manage the daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.

  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, including the preparation of shipping documents, scheduling shipments, and verifying incoming and outgoing goods.

  • Supplier and Carrier Management: Liaise with suppliers and transportation providers to negotiate rates, schedule deliveries, and resolve any issues related to shipments.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments.

  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal departments, such as production, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate logistics activities and address any issues or concerns.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.

You bring

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.

  • Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS).

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) are a plus.
